Pharmacologic Care in the Final Chapter

Join us for a presentation that provides nurses with an overview of the medications commonly used in palliative care. This session will focus on medication selection, symptom management and deprescribing practices, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants will gain insights to enhance patient comfort and ensure the safe, effective use of medications during the final stages of life.

Dr. Bozell is a board certified geriatric pharmacist. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at St John Medical Center, as well as PGY2 pain management/palliative care pharmacy residency at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. She has worked as an inpatient staff/clinical pharmacist and in population health. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Internal Medicine department at the OSU-CHS IMSS clinic.
